I love when Elissa’s pinning… And if you love the same things - lots of natural texture, navy blue, charcoal grey, persian rugs and kilims, brass sconces, and a laid back look - give her a follow!

(A bunch of the pictures below were found via her Pinterest boards.)

Reblogs & Pins Today!

A plethora of prettiness today with some of my favourites from Tumblr and Pinterest.  Enjoy!

Items of Pinterest

This weekend I’m sharing what I’ve been pinning on Pinterest lately… Enjoy an assortment of pretty spaces (and lots of transom windows!)

…And the winners are…

I’ll be e-mailing your Pinterest invites to you this weekend!  Woo hoo!

Giveaway… Are you Pinterested?

OK, so don’t get to excited… a small-time blogger with no ad revenue or professional connections of any kind isn’t giving anything too big or fancy away.  But I do have 5 Pinterest invitations to give away.  So if you’re not pinning yet, read on!

Do you like pretty pictures?  Do you like organizing, or planning?  PInterest is a super great, super easy way to collect your inspiration pic’s in neat little virtual bulletin boards.  Apparently it’s still in beta… (I’ll be honest with you I’m so not-tech savvy, so I don’t reeeally know what that means.  Makes me think of the pre-VCR Beta Max machines. And renting Jem and the Holograms videos to watch on the ole’ Beta machine.) …so you can only sign up by invitation only.  You can request an invite from the site, OR you can snag one here!

This is my pinboard for redesigning our entryway - I love being able to pull together images of both the elements of the design (furniture, paint colours, fabric…) and some inspiration photos!

Here’s how we’ll do it:

  1. Leave a comment and your name will be entered in a random draw.  (That’s right.  Random.  So your comment could be about anything you want.  Peanut allergies.  Transit workers.  Superheroes.  Gouda cheese.  So sucking up is not necessary.) or…
  2. Reblog this post and your name will be entered in a random draw.  (However if you reblog it saying “this is the best tumblr blog in the history of ever” you might get brownie points.  :)  Gotta’ up that readership, eh!)

So you could potentially get your name entered twice.  Perhaps thrice if you make me laugh really hard.

I’ll announce a winner next Friday.  Or I’ll shamefully ignore this post and give Pinterest invites to the only 2 people who might comment on this post.  Ha ha… small time bloggers *roll your eyes*.

Happy weekend!

Verrry Pinteresting…

Have you tried Pinterest?  I’m still figuring it out myself.  It’s basically a virtual bulletin board.  I like it for the fact that I can finally organize some of the ideas for my farmhouse dining room (and kitchen, since they open to each other).  Fabrics, paint colours, finishes, furniture, inspiration photos… you can gather them all online onto inspiration boards.  Though I do wish I could drag and drop the photos to arrange my way…

I don’t know why, but I’ve had some inspired daydreaming/planning lately in regards to the dining room.  You can check out my grey, white, black, apple green, and turquoise country plan out, or check out some of the many beautiful pinboards out there!
