20 Things: Veranda with a View
This is the final day of my “20 Things” series! I’ve been posting about 20 things that I would love to have in my house one day… you can read about it in this post.
Oh, veranda. *sigh* How I would love thee. Verandas appeal to me for many reasons:
-They give instant interest and character to the exterior of a home
-They look resplendent in Christmas lights, garland, or other seasonal decorations
-They create a wonderfully welcoming transition space from outside to in
-And how much would I LOVE to sit outside on the veranda watching a thunderstorm roll in? Or to curl up with my Bible and a blanket and watch the sun rise? Or sip some chai on a crisp fall day? Verandas provide such an easy way to enjoy the outdoors. And I am in love with them.
The house plan we’ve got bookmarked has a wraparound veranda. Good luck trying to convince me to build any other house.
