In over my head?
Could we have a moment of silence? Our couch is in its final days. Which makes me remember its early days: a pair of newlyweds, walking the aisles of a furniture store and picking out the overstuffed black leather set, so proud to be buying our very own new furniture! And a few days later moving the ginormous couch down a tiny stairwell into their first basement suite, on a sweltering hot day...

Kitchen Tour
As I mentioned last week, it feels funny to call this a “kitchen tour” since it takes, like, three steps to walk through our kitchen. :)
I tried my best to get the camera settings right - but the kitchen is windowless, so I apologize for the slightly skewed colours!

the trouble with trends (a rant before I show you...
See, here’s the thing: trends are fun. It’s fun to see what “the next big thing” will be, and decide if you like it or not, and find ways to integrate it into your life, and feel all smartypants when you caught onto a trend early in the game.

Chalkboard Paint Wall: a Mom-friendly Project
Life with two kiddos is equal parts crazy and delightful. I’m loving it. And my days are full of feeding, playing, teaching, snuggling, disciplining, rocking, burping (not myself), diapering, and maybe tidying up after it all. It doesn’t leave much time for projects, but I’ve managed to squeeze a few in. And one in particular was reeeally easy and quick.
